This PDC will be held “away from it all” at the Ageya Wilderness Camp in beautiful Homer, Alaska over-looking Kachamack Bay. You will be immersed in a system of sustainable design, which will integrate nature rather than dominate it. With a unique opportunity to deeply connect, on-site, with a like-minded cohort while staying at the camp together, you will reconnect with nature in new and exciting ways. The new friendships alone make the course worthwhile. Besides learning about patterns, food forests, composting, water retention, hedges and other great information in the classroom, you will also get to practice those skills outside in order to solidify your new knowledge. By the end of the intensive 12 days of eating, learning, doing, and dreaming about permaculture without the normal interruptions of life, you will be equipped with a holistic view of permaculture design which you can confidently use to create a more sustainable space for you, your family and your community. The time to plan for a resilient and abundant future is now. Please join us for this amazing experience. This course is limited to 22 people. The cost (before July 1st) is $1,100, which includes the course, the certificate, 3 homemade local meals a day and a camping spot. If you choose to stay in a Yurt with propane heat, there is an additional cost of $200. Instructor: RICO ZOOK |
