Hey Guys, a friend recently gave me a copy of Masanobu Fukuoka's one straw revolution, I've only just started reading it but it seems like an awesome book. I was just wondering if any of you have had experience using his techniques in your gardens or if there is any other information like videos and stuff I should check out.

The seedballs sound cool but I only have a small urban garden so I guess they wouldn't suit my situation, any other ideas would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Hello Sally, glad to hear you've become a fan of Fukuoka, he was a great man. You might like to take a look at 'The Road Back to Nature: Regaining the Paradise Lost' by the same author. It's not as well known as 'one straw revolution' but worth a read.

Cheers Martin

Thanks Martin, once I've chewed through the first one I'll check it out.

"if modern agriculture continues to follow the path it's on now, it's finished. The food-growing situation may seem to be in good shape today, but that's just an illusion based on the current availability of petroleum fuels. All the wheat, corn, and other crops that are produced on big farms may be alive and growing, but they're not products of real nature or real agriculture. They're manufactured rather than grown. The Earth isn't producing those things... petroleum is!"

one-strow revolution is just an introduction, more like autobigraphy. fukuoka's other two books will give you more practical knowledge. you can find them here:
