This 72 hour PDC is run by the Permaculture Research Institute of Kenya (PRI-Kenya) together with lead facilitator Lesley Byrne. Lesley previously worked with PRI Australia and also has extensive experience of permaculture aid projects, having implemented award winning projects in Cambodia, Jordan, Afghanistan and Uganda. The course is integrated with a reforestation and land regeneration initiative on the island led by PRI-Kenya and will have a focus on creating climate change resilience and food security. A special module on Farmers Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) will also be offered. FMNR, pioneered by Tony Rinaudo from World Vision, has had extraordinary results in land regeneration in Western Africa and Ethiopia.

The course is offered for 250 US for local students and 750 US for international students. The fee includes all tuition, food and accomodation but not your travel.

Please contact Sheena on sheena@pri-kenya.org for more information about the course or for an application form.
